History

Bigger and Better Business is the first national program of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. It was first introduced at the Tenth Anniversary Conclave in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ( December 1924). When Bigger and Better Business was adopted as a national program, special emphasis was placed on encouraging and promoting Negro businesses. At its inception, the program sought to encourage negro businesses to improve their business acumen, efficiency, and service to the public, to be competitive with other businesses.

mission statement

To effectively promote, develop and grow the programmatic thrust of Bigger and Better Business in our community via the Conclave mandated initiatives – Project SEED & Sigma Business Network. Our goal is to develop relationships through continuous communication, support, and networking. We are looking to educate, excite, and promote generational wealth development and financial security for our Brotherhood and the communities we serve.

It is our mission to have people understand and recognize the importance of their capacity to participate in, contribute to and benefit from their contributions.
